Looking at the schematic with the bypass switch in the position it is, when the turbo timer times out it shuts off the car and also kills the power to the relay. The relay provides the power connection to the fuel pump, coil packs, injectors and ECCS relay via the fuse in the fuse box. To start the car, you now need to place the key in the on position (this provides a power source for the relay), press the momentary switch once to latch the relay (this gives you back the power to the fuel pump, coil packs, injectors and ECCS relay). If you turn on the bypass switch you take both the relay and the momentary switch out of the picture. The bypass switch reconnects the battery to the fuse giving you constant power to the fuse as it was before. The turbo timer will still work as it did before. If the bypass switch is either on or off the turbo timer will still turn off the car. There is no difference in how the turbo timer works.
